French concept and patent
Air support
your reach of every community
Dravion is designing two ranges of assistance drones:
- DARI for reconnaissance
- DALI for response
Our goal: to meet the needs of civil protection missions, starting with firefighting.
Designed for day and night operations, our ranges are intended to complement existing aerial assets.

The project
Complementary aerial assets
to tackle wildfire risk
Climate change is making wildfire risk permanently worse. Fire outbreaks are becoming more frequent, burned areas are growing and the fire season is getting longer, including in regions that were previously little exposed.
Aerial firefighting assets are essential and increasingly in demand. Yet some missions remain particularly demanding, especially at night and at low altitude in dense smoke.
Effective firefighting depends on tackling fires at an early stage, in the short window when they can still be contained, and at night, when crewed aerial assets are rarely or never deployed. There is a growing need for a water-dropping capability that can be deployed quickly and at low cost, without exposing any crew, and that can carry out repeated rotations alongside crewed aerial assets. Dravion develops drones to meet this need. Dravion develops drones to meet this need.
Firefighting is our first application, but our drones are also designed for other civil protection and emergency logistics missions.
Two complementary ranges
DARI
Reconnaissance and Information Support Drone.
Long-range observation and intelligence gathering, with take-off and landing possible almost anywhere.
DALI
Firefighting Support Drone
100% combustion-powered
Water dropping and heavy-lift transport, thanks to 100% combustion-powered propulsion.
DARI RANGE
DARI
RECONNAISSANCE AND INFORMATION SUPPORT DRONE
Rapid long-range reconnaissance
The DARI range is based on an innovative convertible drone: it offers all the capabilities of a quadcopter, plus a high-speed flight mode to cover long distances without draining the battery. It can be dismantled and fits in a lightweight case.
It takes off and lands almost anywhere, hovers over an area, then switches to high-speed flight to reach another sector, significantly increasing ground teams' deployment and analysis capabilities. The transition between the two modes is simple and immediate.
Area reconnaissance
Rapid arrival on scene and observation of a wide perimeter.
Fire monitoring
Monitoring of fire spread, hotspots and flare-ups. Monitoring of fire spread, hotspots and flare-ups. Location of the points to be treated, with coordinates sent to the command post and to DALI drones.
Search and alert verification
Verification of a reported fire outbreak, support for search operations.

Uncrewed
Complementary to crewed assets
DALI RANGE
DALI
FIREFIGHTING SUPPORT DRONE
Water dropping and heavy-lift transport
The DALI range is based on a 100% combustion-powered quadrotor. With no batteries, it refuels simply by filling the tank and can carry out repeated rotations, day and night, alongside crewed aerial assets.
Initial attack on emerging fires
Rapid water or retardant drop rotations, wherever a nearby refill point is available.
Night operations
Drops on hotspots and flare-ups, where crewed aerial assets are rarely or never deployed.
Emergency logistics support
Transport of heavy equipment as close as possible to deployed teams.
Participation in medical assistance or emergency missions.

The company
A company born from a collaboration of experts
Dravion grew out of a partnership between an engineering firm, Conseil et Technique, and recognised players in their fields: drone manufacturing and operations, remote pilot training, aerodynamics, and aerial wildfire fighting.
Each partner brings its own knowledge and experience to the project. Dravion brings them together and makes them work as one, from proof of concept through to the demonstrator, under a cooperative value-sharing model.
Combined expertise:
- Multirotor flight physics: aerodynamics, propulsion, flying qualities, vibration dynamics
- Combustion engines and their integration in high-vibration environments
- Composite structures and blade design, drawing on R&D experience in the helicopter industry
- Flight controllers and control laws
- Flight testing and remote pilot training
- Operational experience in aerial wildfire fighting
The innovations are protected by patents in France and internationally. Our projects are developed with users and tailored to their operational needs.
